Most events are half days with a short gap to stretch your legs. (All training events are funded and are no cost to participants)

To book a place please contact BCU.Academy@wales.nhs.uk  – Each session only has 15 places, which are limited to 1-2 persons per practice per course.  Please provide staff name and email address for each person attending. The Academy Team will generally get back to you within 3 working days and will forward individuals a diary invite as confirmation.

Alternatively, if you wish to place your name on a reserve list for future dates, please let us know.  If there is sufficient demand we will look at delivering further sessions.

BCU Academy will forward all those registered for the course a diary invite which will be updated with the link to join the training workshop. Please advise us if you cannot attend the workshops in order for us to allocate the place to another individual on the reserved list.

Instructions from Thornfield trainers for each session –

  • Start times: Workshops will start promptly at the specified times.
  • Meeting invites will be sent in advance of the workshops – please advise us if they are not received 1 week before the event.
  • Delegates should join the session at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to ensure all equipment is working correctly. The trainer reserves the right to refuse delegates arriving late depending on how much of the workshop has been missed.
  • Your video and microphone must be turned on throughout of the duration of the session unless otherwise specified by the tutor.
