Chris is an experienced GP as well as being the Health Board's Executive Director of Primary Care and Community Services.
Prior to this, Chris has been a GP Programme Director and Trainer, and has led the introduction and development of a range of multidisciplinary professional roles into Primary Care, and the transformation of a number of Primary Care teams.
In addition to multidisciplinary team development, Chris has professional interests in social models of care, 'prudent primary care', and place-based systems of care.
Gemma is our Academy Manager, ensuring the service runs smoothly, and always ready to help.
Involved from the beginning of our Academy journey, Gemma has a strong understanding of the opportunities that multi-disciplinary Primary and Community Care can offer, and of the importance of social and community solutions in ensuring wellbeing.

Jess provides Clinical support, Education and Mentorship to Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners. This role was developed in response to the
growing numbers of Trainees, and a recognition that making a strong investment in their learning experience would reap dividends.
Jess provides direct supervision and provides support to Nurses (and other professionals) completing modules on the Masters programme.
Nia is Nurse Consultant for Primary Care, passionate about Advanced Clinical Practice Nia lead the development of the AP competency framework, governance and job planning toolkits for Primary Care.
When not undertaking clinical sessions Nia can be found coordinating AP forums and education sessions and providing supervision and mentorship to both trainee and established Advanced Practitioners.
