    Primary Care Advanced Practitioners Forum

    Each sessions will be focused on 5 key items about a topic, and will be held at 5pm…. Or as we have called it 5 @ 5!

    These sessions will be focused on ‘Bite Size’ learning for Primary Care Advanced Practitioners, breaking down complex subjects into more manageable chunks, with five take home learning outcomes that can easily be put into practice.

    The sessions will be for an hour, with a 45min presentation from a guest speaker, and 15mins for discussion and Q&A time.

    Clinical Coding Read Version 2

     

    A Half Day Workshop

     

    Designed specifically for primary care staff involved in clinical coding using Read Version 2, this workshop will enable delegates to feel confident that they are coding correctly. Delegates will understand the structure of Read V2 and how this assists in selecting the correct code. The workshop will explore different search techniques and raise awareness of common pitfalls and errors to avoid. This half day workshop is theory-based, with demonstrations provided using the NHS Browser. A joint practical exercise will be undertaken during the session with input from delegates and a further exercise provided within the workbook should be completed back at practice to consolidate learning.

    Clinical Notes Summarising in Primary Care

     

    A Half Day Workshop

     

     

    Course Objectives:This practical and interactive workshop has been designed specifically for summarisers within primary care to enable them to understand the purpose and significance of summarising both new patient records and incoming correspondence.  The workshop will provide a suggested step by step process for summarising new patient records.  Information provided during the session is in accordance with the Good Practice Guidelines for GP electronic patient records V4 (2011).

    DELEGATES MUST HAVE A GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF READ CODES/ CTV3 CODES PRIOR TO ATTENDING THIS SESSION.
